On
March 9, 2009 POM updated their MySpace. There has been
a
band member change, it appears Christian is not with POM at
this time.
To
Christian Stone, though your current status is unknown as we
patiently wait, I want to take this opportunity to say you
are a kind, soft-hearted soul and you let us in willingly.
You filled a place that was empty and brought us a new
perspective into living our lives through your kindness,
generosity, and overall appreciation to the fans. Thank you
for the wonderful memories - Karen

The
date…
July
31,
2003,
and
at
first
glance
it
seems
rather
insignificant
in
the
grand
scheme
of
things
in
Puddle
of
Mudd’s
history,
that
is
unless
you
are
standing
in
the
position
of
Puddle’s
current
guitarist,
Christian
Stone.
Puddle,
who
had
been
touring
extensively
since
2001,
had
scheduled
a
short
round
of
summer
concert
events
in
the
Northeast
in
preparation
for
their
full-blown
tour
supporting
their
upcoming
November
2003
release
of
their
sophomore
album,
Life
On
Display.
A
set
of
three
shows
which
were
sponsored
by
Budweiser’s
One
Night
Stand
Concert
Series,
the
first
in
Hartford,
Connecticut’s
The
Webster
Theatre…
On
July
31
Puddle
were
headliners
and
California
based
rockers
The
Campfire
Girls
of
which
Stone
was
a
member,
were
on
tap
in
the
opening
band
slot.
Fan
reviews
on
Puddle’s
website
gave
The
Campfire
Girls
complimentary
props
for
the
show
as
well
as
for
two
more
dates
within
the
span
of
a
few
days,
one
in
Raleigh,
North
Carolina
and
another
in
Jacksonville,
Florida.
Fast
forward…
Another
shuffle
of
Puddle
players
was
in
store
for
the
fans
as
Puddle
of
Mudd
co-founder
Jimmy
Allen,
who
had
rejoined
the
band
in
2005
as
guitarist,
departed
the
band
in
early
2006.
Enter
Christian
Stone.
Since
that
opening
date
at
The
Webster,
both
Puddle
and
The
Campfire
Girls
had
been
riding
along
the
same
parallel
without
intersecting,
each
band
doing
to
their
own
thing
playing
gigs,
writing,
and
recording,
without
giving
the
other
a
second
thought.
Every
stride
of
one’s
gait
is
ironically
a
stepping-stone
to
a
destination
one
hadn’t
planned
on.
One
advances
and
recedes,
and
sometimes
one
ends
up
at
the
same
place
they
started,
that
brief
convergence
of
the
two
parallels
several
years
earlier.
It’s
usually
only
a
matter
of
time
before
musicians
meet
face
to
face
again
as
they
circumnavigate
the
rock
music
capital
of
the
world,
Los
Angeles
and
such
is
the
case
with
Stone.
Despite
a
change
in
the
equation,
the
total
remains
the
same.
Deduct
one,
add
one,
divide
by
their
distinctive
personalities,
and
then
multiply
by
the
current
talent
factor,
Puddle
equals
a
rock
band
with
solid
players
at
their
core,
and
that
includes
a
well-worn,
polished
stone
in
the
middle
of
the
Mudd.
It’s
naïve
to
define
a
musician
solely
by
the
parameters
of
their
past
band
associations
and
experiences,
that
rationality
only
creates
a
finite
cube
of
perception
and
fails
to
give
us
complete
picture,
there
is
always
more
than
meets
the
eye.
Stone
is
one
rock
that
hasn’t
stopped
long
enough
to
let
moss
grow
on
his
surface
and
this
is
one
talented
songwriter,
vocalist,
and
guitarist
who
has
an
inspiring
background
in
the
rock
and
roll
rat
race,
there
are
no
shortcuts,
he’s
paid
his
dues.
