Puddle
Of
Mudd
is
back
in
the
news
for
several
reasons,
most
of
them
really
good
ones.
But
there
is
one
of
dubious
distinction.
First
the
good
stuff.
The
new
album
“Famous”
has
been
extremely
well
received
and
it’s
not
even
officially
out
yet.
The
buzz
is
primarily
from
those
seeing
the
band
in
concert
as
they
have
already
begun
playing
some
of
the
new
songs
on
their
current
tour
with
Saliva
in
tow.
From
one
reviewer
to
another
the
title
song,
“Psycho”
and
“Merry-Go-Round
are
impressing
the
most
jaded
of
those
involved
in
Rock,
the
journalistic
press.
It
doesn’t
hurt
that
some
new
songs
are
accessible
on
their
websites
www.PuddleOfMudd.com
and
www.MySpace.com/PuddleOfMudd
and
the
ubiquitous
You
Tube.
Those
sites
have
full
itinerary
information
as
the
band
is
wowing
virtually
anyone
who
attends
a
show.
We
will
welcome
the
band
from
Lafayette,
Louisiana
in
the
midst
of
their
tour
and
will
have
the
brand
new
CD
before
it
hits
the
streets
the
day
after.
The
one
negative,
depending
on
your
point
of
view,
is
the
story
about
band
leader
Wes
Scantlin
deciding
to
take
a
swim
in
hallowed
ground.
Elvis
Presley’s
swimming
pool
at
Graceland.
While
some
ardent
fans
of
the
King
are
calling
it
blasphemous,
others
are
calling
it
a
publicity
stunt.
Our
opinion
falls
somewhere
in
between
as
we
have
taken
a
“no
harm,
no
foul”
approach.
Honestly,
we
see
a
whole
lot
of
humor
in
this
and
don’t
see
any
damage
whatsoever
to
the
pool,
the
reputation
of
the
King
or
any
reasonable
long
term
positive
press
for
POM.
The
band
has
two
new
members
who
seem
to
have
added
to
the
fire
and
the
new
songs
are
coming
across
as
fan
favorites
already.
It’s
time
to
talk
about
it
all.
