People
May
Hate
Them,
But
Puddle
Of
Mudd
Are
Still
Famous The
fifth
studio
album
from
American
rockers
Puddle
Of
Mudd
was
delayed
several
times,
but
Famous
has
been
selling
well
since
it
finally
hit
stores
earlier
this
month. "It
feels
pretty
awesome,"
says
vocalist/guitarist
Wes
Scantlin.
"It's
been
almost
four
years,
so
it
feels
good." Current
single
"Psycho"
follows
the
title
track,
which
topped
radio
charts
after
it
was
released
in
May. "'Famous'
is
just
poking
fun
at
people
running
around
Hollywood
and
getting
into
trouble
—
just
poking
fun
at
all
the
little
Hollywood-ettes
running
around
and
getting
DWIs,
and
people
who
are
becoming
famous
for
doing
nothing,"
says
Scantlin
of
the
song.
"I
don't
know
if
it's
talent,
I
don't
even
know,
man. "It
just
seems
like,
do
something
wild
and
crazy
in
front
of
the
camera
and
the
next
thing
you
know,
you're
famous.
We
had
to
all
practice
in
our
bedrooms
with
our
guitars
and
in
our
jam
halls
with
our
instruments
and
our
microphones
and
actually
practice
and
practice
and
practice
over
and
over
and
over
to
get
to
where
I
am.
That's
what
I
did,
but
some
people
nowadays
are
getting
famous
for
nothing.
I
don't
even
know
what
they
do,
personally." Puddle
Of
Mudd
are
touring
the
U.S.
with
Saliva
and
Deepfield
and,
while
no
dates
are
currently
scheduled
for
Canada,
Scantlin
promises
that
the
band
hasn't
forgotten
the
country. "Heck
yeah,
I'm
coming
there,
eh,"
he
says
with
a
laugh.
"I
can't
wait
to
come
back
there,
man. "That
place
rocks.
You
guys
are
awesome.
You've
got
great
food
and
everybody's
really
nice
and,
shoot,
the
ladies
aren't
too
bad
looking
either. "Tell
everybody
there
I
said
thanks
for
getting
the
record
and
we
can't
wait
to
come
back
to
Canada.
We
had
a
really
great
time
touring
with
Nickelback
and
we
will
see
everybody
real,
real
soon." —Pete
