Artist:
Puddle
of
Mudd Famous,
the
third
album
from
Puddle
of
Mudd,
opens
with
the
title
track
“Famous”.
An
energetic
tongue-in-cheek
rendition
of
Fame:
"You
can
sleep
all
day
and
still
get
paid
when
the
sun
goes
down
we’ll
do
it
all
over
again
cause
when
you’re
on
a
roll
they
gotta
let
you
go
right
through
the
back
door."
“Living
on
Borrowed
Time”
is
about
defiance
and
rebellion,
voicing
you’re
gonna
die
tomorrow,
which
most
likely
is
coming
from
friends,
family,
or
even
their
own
subconscious.
The
focus
changes
in
the
next
five
tracks,
with
topics
about
love,
heartache
and
confusion
and
a
slight
sense
of
dysfunction
in
relationships.
“Merry
Go
Round”
takes
a
sharp
turn
to
yet
another
direction,
spiraling
into
low
self
esteem,
angry
with
an
I-don’t-care-use-me-and-abuse-me
kind
of
attitude.
“I
Don’t
Want
to
Be
Like
You”—another
powerful
track.
The
lead
in:
what
a
snotty
thing
to
say/stuck
up
people
always
get
their
way/they
think
they’re
so
cool/these
are
the
kind
of
people
that
you
drool
over/that
is
because
they
don’t
really
care…
Famous
is
full
of
angst
and
heartache,
but
expresses
there
is
still
a
sliver
of
faith
that
shines
with
love
and
hope.
