Mudd to be slung at Chicagoland Speedway

Rock show: Concert to be held next Friday

SPECIAL TO THE HERALD NEWS

The California rock band Puddle of Mudd will perform a Miller Lite Rock n' Racing Concert next Friday, July 9 after the NASCAR Pole Day at Chicagoland Speedway in Expo Village.

The concert is scheduled to begin approximately at 5 p.m., but because of the large crowd expected for NASCAR Pole Day and the concert, guests are urged to arrive early.

Race fans can purchase a NASCAR Pole Day ticket for $15 (children 12-under are free) and enjoy the concert in Expo Village after qualifying. Tickets for NASCAR Pole Day can be purchased by calling (815) 727-7223 or by visiting Chicagoland Speedway.com. The Miller Lite Rock n' Racing Concert in Expo Village featuring Puddle of Mudd is free of charge and no ticket is required for entry.

"We are very excited that our partnership with Miller has created another exciting element to our NASCAR weekend," said Matthew Alexander, vice president and general manager of Chicagoland Speedway. "Our goal is to maximize the experience of our race fans at Chicagoland Speedway, and Puddle of Mudd's brand of music and on-stage energy is sure to add excitement to our NASCAR Pole Day."

During the July 9-11 NASCAR weekend at Chicagoland Speedway, Rusty Wallace's No. 2 Miller Lite Dodge will feature a special Miller Lite Rock n' Racing paint scheme featuring Puddle of Mudd to promote the concert.

Puddle of Mudd came out with its first album in 2001, "Come Clean." It sold more than 5 million copies and produced no less than four radio hits.
