Puddle's Wes Scantlin meets idol, then blows him off
Puddle
Of Mudd singer and guitarist Wes Scantlin says that one of the biggest thrills
of his career was getting to meet and perform with Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy
Page. But Scantlin also said that the last time Puddle Of Mudd was in London, he
stayed in to rest his voice while the rest of his band hung out with the
legendary axeman. "He called me on the phone and he told me, you know,
like, 'Hey, I'm really proud of you, you know, that you're not going out tonight
and partying or anything like that,' because I had, like, some performances that
I had to do really early in the daytime the next day, which I actually did very,
very well, and I'm very thankful that I actually stayed in. I'm not jaded--I
really wanted to go hang out with him, believe me. I really did!"
The latest single from Puddle Of Mudd's second album, Life On Display, is called
"Heel Over Head." The next track to be released to radio will be
"Spin You Around."
Puddle Of Mudd continues to alternate between headlining shows and opening
stints for Kid Rock. Their next headlining date is 05.18 in Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma, while their next show with Kid Rock falls on May 20th in Valley
Center, Kansas.
Puddle Of Mudd will open for Nickelback and 3 Doors Down on their summer
co-headlining tour, beginning on 06.29 in St. Paul, Minnesota.
