Greg Upchurch from Puddle of Mudd to Round out 3 Doors Down Line-up!

ESCATAWPA, Miss.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 7, 2005--After weeks of speculation by fans, it's official- drummer Greg Upchurch has been added to the 3 Doors Down lineup, replacing Daniel Adair. Upon the news that Adair was leaving the band for other things and with 3 Doors about to embark on a multi-national campaign to launch their third studio album entitled Seventeen Days, the boys from Escatawpa put the word out and attracted the best in the business.

"He hits the drums like Jon Bonham" was the claim by none other than Jimmy Paige in London on December 1st, 2003 at a birthday party for Upchurch.

"Greg is a brilliant drummer, one of the best out there right now" says Brad Arnold, lead singer for 3 Doors Down, and adds; "We're looking forward to a long relationship with him."

Born in Louisiana and raised in Oklahoma, Greg's southern roots should come into play with the 12x platinum rock band's return to radio as "Let Me Go" break's the Top Ten at Active and Modern radio charts-already at #9 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Chart.

Upchurch, whose talents has been highlighted in various drum publications, including Modern Drummer's May 2004 cover story, has his own signature Pro-Mark drumsticks aptly titled the Greg Upchurch Autograph Model.

The band joined Lynryd Skynyrd this past weekend at the Superbowl on their Lynyrd Skynyrd's Super Bowl Saturday Night Special (Feb 5) They travel to New York City this week for their record release party tonight (Feb 7) at Crash Mansion, appearances on David Letterman (Feb 8), Howard Stern (Feb 8), VH1 (Feb 9) and more. On Saturday, February 12th- 3 Doors Down will appear on Fox-TV live from Daytona International where they will be performing a concert for 200,000 people
